Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate: CaCO3). Available in bulk, can cut to desired size. Limestone is a basic building block of the construction industry (dimension stone) and the chief materials from which aggregate, cement, lime, and building stone are made.
High quality stone are selected at the mines and tested for purity, are sent to works for further processing.. It is widely used for sculpture, as a building material and in many other architectural applications. Calcium carbonate is also used in the purification of iron from iron ore in a blast furnace.
